Overview

Spanish Dictionary provides an English-Spanish dictionary web app and a Chrome extension for looking up words. This policy explains what data is handled when you use the extension or the website.

Chrome Extension Data

The Spanish Dictionary Chrome extension sends the word or selected text you choose to look up to spanish-dict.com so the service can return dictionary results. This lookup text is used only to provide the lookup result you requested.

The extension does not collect browsing history, does not read page content automatically, does not store lookup history, does not sell user data, and does not use user data for advertising.

Website Data

The web app may process search queries that you submit in order to return dictionary entries, examples, pronunciation, and conjugation information. If you choose to sign in and use bookmarks, the app stores the account and bookmark information needed to provide that feature.

The website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, such as page views and general interaction patterns. Analytics data is used to maintain and improve the service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate the app, such as hosting, authentication, database, and analytics providers.

Data Retention

Lookup requests are handled to provide dictionary results. Account and bookmark data, if you create it, is retained while your account or saved bookmark feature is active unless deletion is requested or required.
